Software for everyday life.
An independent studio exploring a broad range of consumer mobile and web apps.
Wildland Sheperd Development is the software development studio of Wildland Sheperd LLC. We focus on applications people choose to use in their everyday lives, with clear interfaces and features built around a practical need.
What guides our work
We are interested in the many ways software can help someone organize information, carry out a task, or make an everyday activity easier. Our focus spans consumer app categories rather than a single industry or type of tool.
For mobile experiences, we consider the smaller screen and the moments when someone needs to do something quickly. For web experiences, we consider how the same task works across devices, with readable layouts and controls that are easy to understand.
From a need to a useful experience
Our approach starts with a clear question: what is the person trying to accomplish? We use that answer to define the core interaction, build a focused version, and test the experience before adding complexity.
We aim to make privacy choices understandable and support easy to find. Feedback helps us identify confusing steps and decide what to improve.
